The San Jose office is looking for the right person who will lead with service and play a key role in the operation of the Central America office. The Finance and Office Manager will be the financial representative for the region, managing all aspects of accounting and reporting as well as administering payroll and supervising a finance employee. In addition, this person will serve as the office manager ensuring the day to day running and long-term success of the San Jose office and facilities.

Finance Responsibilities:
-Manage all accounting including month-end and annual reporting, management of our accounting system and review of processes and internal controls
-Manage Accounts Payable team with start-up style environment focused on high growth and speed to market
-Administer payroll and all associated government reporting and remittances
-Supervise and mentor the Accounts Assistants to enable professional growth
-Analyze and summarize articulate complex legal and financial information and then implement the relevant provisions of these agreements
-Report financial performance of the region to various stakeholders in the business
-Provide support to other areas of the business as needed

Office Responsibilities
-Ensure all office equipment is maintained including computer equipment
-Coordination of services such as security, phone lines, hydro, etc
-Coordinating maintenance of the office and the property
-Ensuring availability of supplies/resources as required

-2 + years experience in an accounting position including payroll function; post-secondary education in Accounting/Finance
-2 + years working in a hands-on managerial position within the tourism industry ?Big Four? or national accounting firm audit experience is an asset
-Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (in both Spanish and English), leadership and problem-solving skills
-Responsive team player with ability to quickly prioritize among numerous pressing tasks
-Intermediate knowledge of the Google Suite and Microsoft Office
-Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains an asset
-Ability to travel outside of Costa Rica on occasion
