Cost Manager
The Manufacturing Cost Manager is an execution role within ISC Finance, responsible for delivering manufacturing finance services and executing approved initiatives at assigned strategic manufacturing sites.
The role focuses on plant-level financial partnership, operational execution, and disciplined adoption of standard processes and transformation initiatives, working under the direction of the Manufacturing Delivery Lead.
The Cost Manager role is accountable for site-level execution, issue resolution, and partnership.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Execution
Execute timely, accurate, and compliant financial activities for assigned manufacturing sites, including:
Month-end close execution and site-level financial reporting
Quarterly forecast and annual budget inputs
Annual product costing updates and new product costing activities (including BOM, Route, OH rates, and Standard Costing builds)
Balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations
Fixed asset accounting support and capital project tracking
Year-end close activities
Business Partnership:
Serve as the primary finance partner for assigned sites or business units
Work directly with plant leadership and operations teams to explain financial results, drivers, and variances
Support operational decision-making through fact-based financial insights within established policies
Translate standard ISC Finance processes and requirements into clear, actionable guidance for plant stakeholders
Proactively identify site-level issues, risks, or inefficiencies and escalate as needed
Initiative Execution & Change Adoption:
Execute and support approved transformation and continuous improvement initiatives at the plant level
Own local implementation activities, testing, and stabilization for new processes or tools
Ensure consistent adoption of standard ways of working across assigned sites
Manage multiple priorities in a changing environment while maintaining service reliability
Compliance & Controls:
Ensure financial transactions and results are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting policies
Execute required controls and support internal and external audit activities for assigned sites
Identify control gaps or recurring issues and escalate appropriately
Measures of Success:
Accurate and on-time financial deliverables for assigned manufacturing sites
Effective plant-level partnership and reduced operational escalations
Successful execution and stabilization of assigned initiatives and process changes
Consistent adherence to ISC Finance standards, controls, and ways of working
Positive feedback from plant stakeholders and leadership
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance
3?5 years of experience in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or plant finance
Strong understanding of standard manufacturing finance processes
Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with plant and operations teams
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to execute in a deadline-driven environment
Strong communication skills, particularly in explaining financial information to non-finance partners
Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Power BI, PowerPoint)
SAP and/or JDE experience preferred
