The Associate Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organization. This position ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, manages budgeting and forecasting, implements robust financial controls and provides strategic financial guidance to senior management. The Associate Accountant will ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, regulatory/statutory requirements and internal policies.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1.Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually) in compliance with Generally AcceptedAccounting Principles (GAAP).
Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Present financial performance insights and recommendations to senior management.

2.Budgeting and Forecasting:
Develop, monitor and manage the company's annual budget.
Analyze budget variances and provide detailed reports to senior management, recommending corrective actions as necessary.
Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts, accurately estimating short-term and long-term funding requirements.

3.Financial Control and Compliance:
Implement and maintain robust financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
Oversee the month-end closing process, including stock counts, bank and credit card reconciliations, accruals, and inter-company transactions.
Effectively manage the maintenance of a fixed asset register.
Ensure timely and accurate tax planning and filing of all tax returns.
Collaborate with external and internal auditors to ensure compliancewithapplicable standards.

4.Financial Management and Relationships:
Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions to secure necessary funding and optimize financial services.
Provide financial guidance and support to other departments, assisting them in achieving their operational objectives.
Monitor and manage the company?s cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity to meet financial obligations and operational requirements.

5.Leadership and Department Management:
Lead and manage the finance department, ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations. Oversee the accuracy and maintenance of financial records.
Mentor and develop finance team members.

Qualifications and experience
Bachelor?s degree in Finance,Accounting or a related field.
3+years of experience in financial management and control.
Demonstrate strong financial management expertise,with advanced skills in financial reporting and financial modelling.
Proven ability to oversee budgeting,forecasting and strategic financial planning to drive organizational growth and ensure financial stability.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems,with the ability to leverage these tools for data analysis and reporting.
